What makes a person memorable is the impact they have on the people around them. Anyone can be memorable by making a difference strong enough to impact someone else and have that other person remember them forever. Famous people, presidents, scientists, and politicians, etc., all made an impact on America and shaped the country to become the kind it is today. They impacted a large amount of people, but you personally can be memorable just from making a difference in someone's life. The people listed below are just some of the MANY memorable people who have impacted the country that we live in.

Benjamin Franklyn (1706-1790)

Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston in 1706. Later after provoking from his brother he movement to Philadelphia where he made the paper the "Pennsylvania Gazette" this became one of the most successful papers of the time and Benjamin was the first to print a political cartoon. (Join or Die.) In early 1750s Benjamin Franklin began to experiment with electricity and his most famous example was the lighting that struck the key on the kite. He had many political achievements during the 1750s and 60s.

Harriet Tubman (1820-1913)

Harriet Tubman was born in Dorchester County, Maryland in 1820. She is the most well known of all the Underground railroad "conductors," she made 19 trips to the South and helped over 300 slaves to freedom, risking her life in the process. She never lost a single Passenger in all her journeys.

Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

Aka "Honest Abe"

Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States during the American Civil War. He was a Republican Party candidate and an end to his presidency came when he was assassinated in 1865. He is famous for the emancipation proclamation, which freed the slaves in the confederate states in America.

Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968)

Martin Luther KingJr., one of the major civil rights activists during the 1900s. He is famous for his works in the civil rights movement and for standing up for what he believed was right. He is best known for his, "I have a dream speech" in which he, told how he envisioned a world where black and white people are integrated.

Albert Einstien (1879-1955) - 1955)

Although Albert Einstein was a German born scientist, his contributions to the world of science were very influential to not only Europe, but every other country as well. He is known for the Special and General Theory of Relativity and his theory of E=MC2. In 1921 he won the Nobel Prize for the explanation of the photoelectric effect.

John F. Jennedy (1917-1963)

JFK born in 1917 was assassinated in 1963. He was the 35th president of the United States. He created the group called the Peace Corps and a man landed on the moon during his time in presidency. In Cuba at this time they failed to bring down Fidel Castro at the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961. He was also president during the "Cuban Missile Crisis".

Rosa Parks (1913-2005)

Just as Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks  was a civil rights activist who was best known for refusing to give up her bus seat to a white man. Her actions showed bravery and that she wasn't going to take any more of the unfair policies inflicted on her race. She was truly an inspiration for the African Americans to follow.

Muhammad Ali (1942-) 

Muhammad Ali, born in 1942 is a boxing heavy weight champion who only ever had five losses in his career. He is an inspiration towards all athletes and sports because he shows strength, determination, and dedication in all that he fights for.

Bill Gates (1955-)

Bill Gates, the inventor of Microsoft earns 250 dollars ever second. He was born in 1955 in October and dropped out of Harvard University in his junior year. He was pronounced the 3rd richest man on earth in 2008!
